Parking lots and drives for hotels, motels, and inns

Eureka Springs' Zoning Code, Sec. 14.08.06(H), covers all entrance and exit drives, access drives, and parking and loading areas. Outside the Historic District Commission's authority, it requires "a durable and dustless surface of at least an asphaltic concrete hot mix surface course or grass paving blocks."

At a hotel, motel, or bed and breakfast inn, the areas the code lists can include the guest parking lot, the drives in and out, and a loading area. Gravel isn't either surface the code names, and the hot mix asphalt we lay is one of them. We pave parking lots, stripe them, lay new asphalt for the drives, and sealcoat them.
