Striping, paving, and driveways for businesses and homes

If you run a hotel, motel, or motor court in Hot Springs, many of the cars on your lot belong to guests who've never parked there. They find an open stall, the accessible spaces, and the way back out by the painted lines and arrows, and when that paint fades, they're left guessing.

Parking lot striping

Stalls, accessible spaces, arrows, and fire lanes laid out and painted, or restriped after sealing.

New asphalt from the ground up: the site graded, a compacted stone base, then hot mix rolled to the thickness written on your estimate.

Sealcoating, repairs, and other asphalt work

  • A freshly sealcoated black driveway curving up to a white two-story house, green lawn on both sides

    Sealcoating

A protective coat over asphalt that's still sound, put down after the cracks are filled.

  • Two workers in a parking lot, one pouring sealant from a pour pot while the other brushes it into a seam in the asphalt

    Crack sealing and filling

Cracks cleaned out and sealed so rain can't reach the base underneath.

  • A worker beside a hand tamper, its head wrapped in black plastic, pressing down a fresh patch in a pothole on a stony road

    Asphalt repair

Potholes and failed spots cut out square, rebuilt from the base up, and rolled level.

  • Looking down on a residential street mid-resurfacing, the grooved milled lane on the left beside a lane of fresh smooth black asphalt

    Asphalt resurfacing and overlays

A new layer of hot mix over asphalt that's worn on top but still solid underneath.

  • An asphalt distributor truck spraying a steaming coat of liquid asphalt across a residential street

    Tar and chip (chip seal)

Liquid asphalt sprayed down and covered with stone, then rolled in: a lower-cost surface for long rural driveways.

  • A worker brushing a narrow strip of fresh black asphalt patching laid along the edge of a stony road, a bag of patch material behind

    Asphalt maintenance

Patching, crack sealing, sealcoating, and restriping, in that order, on a regular cycle.

Hot Springs rules for driveways at the street

A curb cut (the lowered curb an entrance crosses) or any entrance built in the city's right-of-way, the public land along the road, needs a city permit. City code also sets what an entrance can be surfaced with between the gutter line and the right-of-way:

  • A single-family home's driveway: asphalt or concrete.
  • Any other property, a hotel or apartment community included: concrete only.

For a business, that means the asphalt parking lot begins where the concrete entrance ends. Ask about the permit when we write your estimate.

What customers say about the work

  • ★★★★★
We built a house on a slope outside Hot Springs and needed a driveway put in. The crew took their time on the base and the grade instead of rushing it, and it's been through several storms with no washout. Honest guys who do what they say.

Chris D.Hot Springs · New driveway

  • ★★★★★
It's hard to find contractors you can trust these days. Alec provided a solid warranty, didn't try to upsell us on things we didn't need, and gave us a fair price for a beautiful new driveway.

Linda P.Hot Springs · New driveway

  • ★★★★★
We wanted the driveway widened so two cars could park side by side. Alec came out, measured, and gave us a price the same day. The new section blends in with the old one and you can't tell where it starts. They left the yard the way they found it.
