Asphalt paving

New asphalt from the ground up: the site graded, a compacted stone base, then hot mix rolled to the thickness written on your estimate.

Chip sealing

Liquid asphalt sprayed down and covered with stone, then rolled in: a lower-cost surface for long rural driveways.

Inside city limits, work on the end of your driveway at the street needs a permit

Mountain Home's Municipal Code requires a Building Inspection Department permit before anyone builds, alters, removes, or replaces a driveway approach on public property (Sec. 9.12.03). A driveway approach is the stretch of your driveway on public property where it meets the street. The same rule covers curbs, gutters, and drainage structures on public property.

Along streets with curb and gutter, the code also sets how residential and commercial driveway approaches have to be built (Sec. 9.12.04.C).

What customers say about the work

  • ★★★★★
Our lot was cracked and full of low spots. They patched it, laid new asphalt over it, and striped it over a weekend so we didn't lose a single patient day. Communication was great, and the lot looks professional again.

  • ★★★★★
Our industrial facility lot takes a heavy beating from delivery trucks. Alec's Asphalt came in over the weekend to resurface the worst sections and restripe everything so it wouldn't disrupt our normal business hours. Top-notch service.

I look after the property for our church. The lot had cracks everywhere and the lines were faded. They resurfaced the whole thing and restriped the spaces and handicap spots over about a week, working around our Wednesday night and Sunday services so nobody lost parking. I always knew what was happening next. Great value for a church budget.
